Winebow, Inc. is seeking a Spirits Specialist – Whiskey Expertise in Los Angeles, CA to partner with the sales team across channels.

You will drive account development, brand-building, and education, applying whiskey knowledge to identify opportunities and execute sales strategies that raise distributor and retailer engagement. This field-sales role requires five+ years in the spirits industry, strong presentation and training skills, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of industry experience.
• High level of Whiskey knowledge, particularly American Whiskey.
• Supervisory experiences strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated computer knowledge, including MS Office suite.
• Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with District Managers to boost spirit sales, develop strategic plans, and achieve sales targets.
• Guide the growth of supplier’s brand priorities and awareness in market to achieve KPIs and account activation
• Work with supplier partners to drive key initiatives in the market and within the sales organization
• Drive sales and execute key spirit initiatives across accounts, both on and off-premises.
• Collaborate with Sales Management and team to prepare market work opportunities and spirits category development
• Work with Spirits Portfolio Manager on supplier communications, marketing strategies, and prospecting new brands for portfolio growth.
• Keep ahead of market and industry trends, identifying target account types and new opportunities.
• Serve as a spirits portfolio authority, creating educational tools and leading large-group presentations and training sessions.
• Support accounts with tastings, staff trainings, consumer events, and maintain active engagement on social media platforms in line with corporate policy.

Job description

The Spirits Specialist provides support and assistance in enhancing Winebow’s Spirits Business with the sales team for all channels. The role is multi-faceted and focuses on sales coordination, account development, brand building, and education. The Spirits Specialist is expected to leverage their expertise to assist the sales team in identifying opportunities, crafting sales strategies, and executing plans that drive the sale of spirits across all channels. Achieving key performance indicators such as new points of distribution, staff training, internal education training, and new account openings.

This is a field sales position. The candidate must be located and provide service to Los Angeles, CA territory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

WORKING CONDITIONS

Field sales, significant travel by automobile/public transportation; travel by airplane/train and overnight stays may be required. Events during participation outside of corporate business hours. Lifting up to 45 lbs., bending, sitting, carrying, standing, manual dexterity, reaching, visual acuity, driving.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000.00.

This position is also eligible for a bonus of 20% quarterly.
