Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Wichita, KS, is hiring a technician to support aerospace composite hand lay-up, robotic, automation, and related areas. The role requires lifting and standing for long periods and using schematics and drawings to diagnose and maintain equipment.

Preferred candidates have a 2-year technical degree, experience with ovens/autoclaves, and familiarity with aerospace specs and FTIR/GDS/GCMS instrumentation. Union environment; pay varies with experience.

Position Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

• 5+ years working as a technician in a related field
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship)
• Experience with composites and hand lay-up techniques for monolithic and sandwich panels
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

• 2- year Associate's Degree from Trade/Technical School
• Experience with or be willing to learn machine shop type equipment (drills, saws, sanders, etc.), ovens and autoclaves, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment
• Familiarity with aerospace specifications
• Experience with FTIR, GDS, GCMS instrumentation
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Summary Pay Range: $54,200 - $83,100
