Spirit Defense, a Boeing Company, seeks an experienced manufacturing engineer to coordinate fabrication, assembly, or installation plans at our Wichita, KS facility. This on-site role collaborates with suppliers, engineering, and production teams.

You will develop tooling, define process steps, and manage change incorporation while ensuring producibility and alignment with engineering drawings and 3D models. Candidates should have 3+ years of related experience, ability to obtain a U.S.

Formación

• 3+ years of related experience required.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with SAP, CATIA/ENOVIA, and 3DX is preferred.

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirits Defense Business Unit ("Spirit Defense"). Position Responsibilities:

• Implements fabrication, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Knowledge to develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement, and functional test plans.
• Using the established manufacturing process flow, defines sequences of events, develops text and graphics working structions, manufacturing data sets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of material.
• Communicates with engineering teams to influence and clarify design concepts.
• Coordinates change incorporation, optimizes processes, addresses producibility issues, production & post-production problems.
• Has the ability to demonstrate configuration control of the hardware, within the manufacturing build plan.
• Ability to apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years of related experience
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Mid-Level (Level 3): 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Active DoD Security Clearance
• Technical Degree
• Clarification and enhancement of existing build plans to promote standardization and ease of understanding
• Frequent interaction with internal personnel in the manufacturing environment and occasionally with inter-organizational personnel and external customers
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models
• Creation and publication of manufacturing graphics
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel
• Strong knowledge of SAP
• CATIA / ENOVIA
• 3DX
• Understanding of the master scheduling requirements
• Ability to take a project from start to finish
• Willingness to work cross-functionally
• Ability to apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range - Associate (Level 2): $59,950 - $91,950
Summary Pay Range - Mid-level (Level 3): $71,650 - $109,800

Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
