Requirements and Description

Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of employees to ensure safe and effective operations.
  2. Monitor and enforce safe working habits according to OSHA/TSA/DOT/USPS regulations, company policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws.
  3. Manage shift schedules, including workstation assignments, training, vacations, breaks, overtime, and shift rotations.
  4. Enforce company policies and procedures, handle disciplinary actions, and promote diversity and equal employment opportunity initiatives.
  5. Communicate issues to management and conduct shift meetings.
  6. Assist with payroll administration and complete shift paperwork.
  7. Perform passenger assistance duties such as check-in, special needs support, ticketing, boarding, baggage handling, reservations, and complaint resolution.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned within skill and experience levels.

Pre-requisites

  • Must be a local resident with a valid in-state driver’s license or state ID.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and a background check (up to 10 years).
  • Must be at least 18 years old and complete SIDA training for airport security.

Education: High School diploma or GED.

Experience: Minimum two years of relevant experience, with an open-minded attitude and team orientation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in typing and computer use.
  • Ability to understand and follow ticketing procedures and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over four years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant supervisory experience.

Working Conditions

Schedule: Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, in a shift bid environment.

Environment: Ability to be alert around moving vehicles or aircraft, use radio equipment, and work outdoors in various weather conditions, with exposure to noise, fumes, dirt, and dust.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift/move items weighing 70 pounds or more regularly.
  • Ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently.
  • Ability to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise Customer Service Agents and Leads.
