Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a Spinner Equipment Engineer to support next generation technology through installation, qualification and recipe transfer of Spinner and related equipment.

You will collaborate across teams to ensure tool performance, coordinate vendor resources, analyze defects, and drive improvements while providing weekend coverage and KPI-driven decisions within a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of college in related field.
  • 5+ years of semiconductor Photo or Cleans equipment ownership.
  • In-depth experience on one or more of the following types of semiconductor equipment: SEMES, TEL, Screen.
  • Understanding of semiconductor wafer processing fundamentals and photolithography.
  • Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, FDC, yield analysis and other standard engineering and manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Performing Spinner and auxiliary equipment installation, including hardware and product qualification.
  • Creating next generation technology node transfer including recipes, SOPs, BKMs.
  • Attending and contributing in daily tactical meetings with vendors and internal teams about photolithography equipment; and attending weekly meetings with vendors and internal teams including cross-functional meetings regarding equipment metrics and department/site improvement plans.
  • Coordinating Samsung internal, external and multiple vendor resources to provide optimum manufacturing support on assigned equipment.
  • Investigating, troubleshooting and providing technical solutions to equipment related defect, quality and yield problems.
  • Analyzing and reporting tool performance data, including availability, MTTR, MTBF, particle and defect trends, maintenance success, and similar metrics for assigned equipment.
  • Providing weekend coverage as needed (~ 12 weeks a year) and making tactical decisions based on daily operation environment to achieve KPI.
