Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligible for appointment per VA policy.
• MD/DO degree from a school approved by VA.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in US state or DC.
• Residency in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility.
• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery (or eligibility).
• VA academic program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform orthopedic surgical procedures and oversee patient care.
• Coordinate admission, preoperative and postoperative care.
• Provide consultations and referrals with other services.
• Engage in teaching and supervision within the VA hospital setting.
• Participate in on-call and emergency coverage as required.
