Job summary

Essentia Health in Fargo, ND seeks an Advanced Practice Clinician to support care & coordination of the Spine Program. You will lead intake assessments and drive spine care improvements across PM&R, Neurosurgery, Chiropractic, PT/OT, and Pain Medicine teams.

The role requires MS/DO or PAD with ND licensure, strong leadership and communication, and experience with back pain management and opioid titration. EPIC EMR experience is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in North Dakota (if NP).
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Dakota.
• Minnesota License within 1 year of employment
• Current CPR certification.
• National certification in applicable area.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead involvement of Spine Program care coordination across PM&R, Neurosurgery, Chiropractic, PT/OT and Pain Medicine.
• Perform initial intake assessments and coordinate spine care changes for best practices.
• Collaborate continuously with spine nurse navigator and team members.
• Manage back pain care including opioid titration and patient flow—12-16 adult outpatients per day.
