Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center (PHSC), seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support a Spine Surgeon in West Chester and Kennett Square. This role blends clinic and OR responsibilities in a collaborative orthopedic setting.

The team emphasizes clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and ongoing professional development with a strong emphasis on first-assist in the OR and post-op care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Physician Assistant (or eligibility to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Clinic days: Perform initial evaluations of new, post-op and follow-up patients with the supervising physician.
• Clinic days: Evaluate and treat post-op patients independently when the supervising physician is away.
• Clinic days: Dictate patient office notes in the EMR and manage suture removal and dressings.
• Clinic days: Order x-rays and review images with the supervising physician; review diagnostic reports for urgency.
• Clinic days: Order other diagnostic studies and educate patients on conditions and post-op care.
• Clinic days: Answer patient calls and coordinate care with team and therapists.
