Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Neurosurgery physician for a high-volume spine- and cranial-tracking practice in Erie, PA. The role emphasizes broad case mix including neurotrauma, brain tumors, and cerebrovascular disease with dedicated OR blocks and a balanced schedule.

The position offers an Employed model, PSLF eligibility, and an enhanced compensation package that includes a $100,000 sign-on bonus, relocation help, CME support, and malpractice coverage. Pennsylvania license required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Accredited Neurosurgery Residency Program completion.
• Fellowship training in spine is a plus but not required.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume spine and cranial cases (~80% spine / 20% cranial).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in conferences.
• Provide patient-centric, evidence-based neurosurgical care.
• Contribute to teaching, quality initiatives, and program growth.
