Job summary

Dynomax, Inc. is seeking a Spindles Technician to assemble, disassemble, repair, refurbish and inspect spindles in a clean A/C environment. You will perform test runs, balance or runoff, and document observations while following blueprints and work instructions.

• Experience reading blueprints and work instructions.
• Ability to disassemble and assemble spindles.
• Inspect spindle components and measure with basic tools.
• Understand tolerances and repair estimation.
• Knowledge of spindle machines and tools.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble damaged spindles for repair.
• Inspect spindle components for wear and damage.
• Measure dimensions with calipers and micrometers.
• Assemble spindles per blueprints and instructions.
• Balance/run spindles after final assembly.

Spindles Technician

For 30 years,Dynomax, Inc., a family owned business, has designed, manufactured, and developed high-precision machined components, injection molding and tooling, sub-assemblies, automated work cells, specialty machines, and machine tool spindles. We are looking for aSpindlesTechnicianwho will assemble/dis-assemble, repair, refurbish and inspect spindles. Will also perform test runs, balance and/or runoff of spindles upon completion of assembly. Candidates with a Machine Builder or Automotive Mechanicbackground are encouraged to apply!

• Disassemble damaged or worn spindles that are to be repaired while reading blueprints and work instructions
• Inspect worn or damaged spindle components to determine problem areas
• Check dimensions of the spindle and its components using basic measuring equipment
• Provide detailed documentation of observations- missing, broken, dirty components
• Once the problem(s) have been identified, help quote an approximate repair cost
• Assemble newly manufactured spindles according to work instructions and blueprints
• Paint spindles according to work instructions if necessary
• Use manual machinery such as lathes, mills, or surface grinders to manufacture or finish component parts for spindles

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge of Spindle machines and tools as well as their applications
• Proficiency in algebra, geometry and trigonometry and its application as it relates to manufacturing
• Knowledge of machine building principles
• Ability to use measuring devices and inspection tools such as calipers or micrometers and different types of electrical meters
