Geisinger Life Flight seeks FAA licensed pilots for SPIFR helicopter operations at multiple bases in Pennsylvania. Starting rates begin at 94K with incentives including a $25,000 sign-on bonus and ATP stipend. Expect 7 days on, 7 days off, and relocation assistance where applicable.

Aircraft preparation, weight and balance, flight planning, and post-flight duties are required. Competitive benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
• FAA commercial pilot with an instrument rating required.
• 2000 hours total time or 1500 hours total with ATP rating.
• 1500 hours Helicopter time.
• 1000 hours Pilot in Command time.
• 75 hours instrument time (50 in actual flight).
• 500 hours Cross Country.
• 100 hours night flight time.
• 1000 hours Helicopter Turbine time.

Responsibilities

• Plans flight assignments and briefs weather, procedures and instructions.
• Pre-flight aircraft preparation and loading to ensure within weight and balance limits.
• Ensure safety of cargo, passengers and crew and secure equipment.
• Files, activates and closes flight plans; maintains flight logs and maintenance forms.
• Notifies operations of service status and participates in post-flight debriefings.
