Job summary

McCall Farms in Effingham, SC is seeking a Spice Room Operator to support the spice production line. You will operate Spice Room machines, ensure raw ingredients are correctly transferred and logged, and monitor temperatures, pH, and batch records to maintain product quality.

Responsibilities include safeguarding guards before operation, cleaning after shifts, and training new associates. The role requires the ability to work independently in a hot environment and to follow detailed production

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently in hot environment.
• Able to read and understand English to read recipes.
• Comfortable performing basic arithmetic operations.
• Capable of operating Spice Room equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate Spice Room to relieve absent crew and run machines.
• Set up, run and safely operate Kettle Room equipment.
• Verify ingredients against Spice Room Log and Production Set Up sheet.
• Transport ingredients and monitor spice lines to the production line.
• Record batch information, temperatures, pH, sugar and salt ranges.
• Prepare and maintain Spice Room logs and QA checklists.
• Complete paperwork and assist with training of new associates.
• Operate forklift to retrieve ingredients from warehouse.
