About the position
Dayforce is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, validating and completing all processes and audits as part of the payroll process. You will be required to develop and maintain good working relationships with your client team, respond to, and resolve client employee queries within the timescales defined, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of German Payroll legislation.

About the opportunity

  • Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the payroll cycle, including tax, benefits, etc. are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and on time.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll impacting changes, payments and payroll processing for assigned clients.
  • Responsible for quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy and low error or defect percentage.
  • Work with cross-functional internal partners to resolve client payroll matters and employee inquiries.
  • Provide HR/Payroll support services to clients per contract, government compliance and business needs.
  • Create, update and review standard operating procedures and perform quarterly document reviews.
  • Have an “I own it” attitude about deliverables and projects from start to finish.
  • Think and act ahead, spot opportunities and act accordingly, proactively contributing to process improvements.

Skills and Experience we value

  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a similar role with a strong concentration in German payroll.
  • Must have excellent German and English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, technically and effectively with customers and internal partners.
  • Experience in dealing with high volume payroll (circa >3,000) customer employees.
  • Ability to interface with clients and to use critical thinking skills to resolve complex problems.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality control and auditing standards.
  • Up to date knowledge of German tax & SI regulations.
  • Good knowledge of German payroll applications like LoGa, SAP, Paisy, etc.
  • Self-starter with a customer service oriented personality.
  • Ability to effectively work globally, engaging with partners and leaders in Europe and North America on a regular basis.

  • Experience in Dayforce or similar cloud payroll technology.
