Southeast Health in Alabama is seeking a licensed Staff Speech-Language Pathologist with a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and CCC-SLP. The role includes evaluating and treating patients in inpatients and outpatients, across all ages from birth to 100+ years, upon physician referral.

The per diem, part-time position requires a background in acute care or rehabilitation, strong English communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Alabama state licensure and CCC-SLP certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in acute care or rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in performing speech and language evaluations and treatments.
• Ability to communicate in Standard English, written and verbal, in emergency settings.

Responsabilités

Always the right career direction.**## **Job Description Summary**The Staff Speech-Language Pathologist is a licensed individual who holds a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology. Primary job responsibilities include providing speech and language evaluations and treatments to inpatients and outpatients upon receipt of a physician’s referral. The Staff Speech-Language Pathologist will be engaged in services for all age groups (from birth to 100+ years).## **Job Description**### **QUALIFICATIONS:**Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program. Licensure: Licensed within the State of Alabama. Must hold Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. Experience: Prefer at least one (1) year experience in acute care or rehabilitation setting. Skills proficiency: Able to pass the proficiency checklist specific to the Speech Therapy Department.### ### **LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:**Ability to communicate in Standard English both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency setting.**SKILLS:**Knowledge of Speech-Language Pathology as it relates to the acute care setting.
