Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a Speech Therapist Assistant to join our team. You will support Speech-Language Pathologists in assessing and treating patients across neonatal to geriatric populations, implement activities, and document progress.

You will work in inpatient and clinical settings, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, ensure accurate charting, and help develop individualized treatment plans while maintaining licensure and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure or certification
• Understanding of speech and language disorders and therapeutic techniques
• Commitment to licensure maintenance and ongoing professional development

Responsibilities

• Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting patient assessments and gathering information
• Implement prescribed therapeutic activities and exercises under supervision
• Provide direct patient care, monitoring and documenting progress
• Support treatment plan development and modification with the SLP
• Instruct patients in exercises to improve speech and communication
• Collaborate on augmentative and alternative communication strategies
• Communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and progress
• Participate in team meetings to discuss treatment plans
