Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a Speech Therapist Assistant to join our patient-centered team. You will support Speech-Language Pathologists in treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across pediatric to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities include delivering therapy activities, documenting progress, helping develop treatment plans, and communicating with patients, families, and the care team to ensure quality, compliant care.

Qualifications

• Experience with speech-language pathology terminology and assessment methods.
• Ability to work with patients across age groups including pediatric to geriatric.
• Familiarity with IEPs and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in patient assessments and information gathering.
• Implement prescribed therapies under supervision.
• Provide direct patient care and monitor progress during sessions.
• Support development and modification of individualized treatment plans.
• Instruct patients in exercises to improve speech and communication skills.
• Collaborate to implement augmentative communication strategies.
