Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital - North Mississippi in Batesville, MS seeks a PRN Speech Therapist to screen, evaluate and educate patients with speech and language disorders. Therapies include dysphagia, dysarthria, voice and cognitive rehab in line with hospital policies.

Candidates must hold a Mississippi Speech Therapist or SLP license, current BLS certification, and be able to read and communicate in English; additional languages are a plus and basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Maintains a current Speech Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist License in Mississippi.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages desirable.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Screening, evaluating and educating patients with speech, language, dysphagia, dysarthria, voice, fluency, and cognitive deficits.
• Plan, direct and conduct rehabilitative and counseling programs to treat the above disorders.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures to maintain high quality patient care.
