Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year
  • Current state licensure or license eligibility
  • Commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development
Essential Job Functions:
  • Provides speech therapy services to residents and initiates referrals when appropriate, following department procedures
  • Conducts screening of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment
  • Evaluates residents to gather data necessary for treatment planning and conducts specialized evaluations as needed
  • Develops treatment plans with clear short and long-term goals and methods to achieve them
  • Coordinates treatment plans with residents, families, and team members
  • Implements and conducts treatments as outlined in the plan
