Job summary

PruittHealth is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) / Speech Therapist in Athens, GA. The role focuses on evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, with patient-centered goals and collaborative care.

The position offers compensation up to $130,000 annually, depending on experience and schedule, plus a sign-on bonus of up to $8,000 and comprehensive benefits. Full Time, PRN, and Part Time options are available on site.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from ASHA-accredited program.
• Current SLP license in state of practice.
• Clinical Fellowship candidates considered where applicable.
• Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, home health, or post-acute care preferred.
• Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by an ASHA-approved evaluation organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform dysphagia, cognitive, and communication assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and caregivers.
• Educate patients and families on treatment objectives and outcomes.
