Job summary

Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake, IA is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to design and implement therapy programs that improve patients' communication and swallowing abilities. We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN options with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth.

New grads and Clinical Fellows are welcome. Our in-house therapy team provides mentorship and the tools needed to succeed, with flexible scheduling and strong support from the facility.

Qualifications

• State of Iowa Speech-Language Pathologist License – or eligible to sit for board exams.
• New grads and Clinical Fellows welcome; experience preferred, but training and mentorship are provided.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and direct customized speech therapy programs.
• Provide counseling, prevention, and wellness strategies.
• Conduct screenings and diagnoses of communication and swallowing disorders.
• Deliver direct treatment to help patients improve speech, language, and swallowing function.
• Work closely with residents and staff to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
