Palm Beach Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. You will provide individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy to residents to improve communication, function, and quality of life.

Palm Beach Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy to help residents improve communication, function, and overall quality of life.
Develop and implement individualized speech and language therapy programs based on each resident’s needs and rehabilitation goals.
Evaluate residents and provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities.
Assist residents in learning and using adaptive communication devices when appropriate.
Select therapeutic activities that align with residents’ physical and cognitive abilities, interests, and treatment goals.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans.
Monitor and document resident progress, modifying treatment programs as needed.
Educate residents, families, and facility staff regarding speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing-related needs.
Provide training and guidance to nursing and other staff regarding appropriate speech therapy techniques and recommendations.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
ASHA-certified or eligible for ASHA certification.
Current or eligible for Florida Speech-Language Pathology licensure.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligible to obtain certification.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
