AHMC HealthCare is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide patient evaluations and deliver rehabilitative therapy for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The role requires collaboration with clinical supervisors and adherence to regulatory standards.
Qualified candidates must have a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, a California license, and at least one year of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting. BLS certification is required, and MBSIMP training is preferred.
The Speech Language Pathologist administers patient evaluations, plans, and implements patient treatment proficiently for all assigned patient diagnoses. The SLP II demonstrates sound judgment in clinical decision making, demonstrates effective verbal and written communication, and accurate and timely documentation skills, and seeks guidance and supervision of the Clinical Supervisor appropriately. The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing rehabilitative therapy to patients upon referral for communication, cognitive and/or swallowing disorders following all regulatory and clinical practice requirements. This includes recovery, improvement in function and, when possible, a return to a prior level of functioning. Clinical documentation will describe objective measures and justification for continued or discontinued services.
