Job summary

Adventist Health Twin Cities in Templeton, CA seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services within an interdisciplinary care team.

Requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, and CPR/BLS certification, with CCC preferred. Two years of experience are preferred to support patient assessments and outcomes.)

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Two years' speech language pathology experience is preferred.
• State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
• CPR or BLS certification is required per AH policy.
• ASHA CCC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment.
• Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments.
• Assists in data collection of patient outcomes.
• Instructs and directs support staff as outlined in national and state Practice Acts.
• Supervises assistants and support staff.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Located in Templeton amongst the oak trees, Adventist Health Twin Cities has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. Comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility, our team provides exceptional care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical and outpatient services. Job Summary

Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required
• Two years' speech language pathology experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred

Facility Specific License/Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
