Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services under the direction and supervision of the appropriate clinical leadership. The role includes contributing to staff training, mentorship, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

The position requires a Master’s or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology, California licensure, and ASHA Certification, with experience in hospital inpatient speech therapy settings.

• Provides department in-service as requested by management (e.g., journal club presentation, and or regular in-service presentation).
• Serves as a clinical instructor as requested by management.
• Assists in orientation and training of employees as needed.
• Provides consultation to staff.
• May act as a mentor for staff.
• May provide input into the clinical competency of staff.
• Identifies process Improvement opportunities.
• May assist in the development and implementation of new clinical practice models for the delivery of care.
• Participates in performance improvement projects or other committees as requested by management.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of (2) years experience as a Speech Language Pathologist after attaining your certificate of clinical competence.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited speech language pathology curriculum with a Bachelor or Master or Doctoral degree with certification in Speech Language Pathology or foreign trained equivalent.

License, Certification, Registration

• Speech-Language Pathologist License (California) required at hire
• Basic Life Support
• National Provider Identifier required at hire
• Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate required at hire from American Speech/Language and Hearing Association

Additional Requirements

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements.
• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASHA certified mentor preferred

Pay Range:

$66.69 - $70.62 / hour
