Job summary

Assured Home Health, part of LHC Group, is seeking a licensed Speech Therapist to provide services in the home setting under a plan of care and in coordination with the health care team.

You will evaluate function, assist in therapy plan development, and treat patients to improve communication while instructing families and caregivers. A Washington license and a valid driver''s license are required; weekend rotation may be needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of Washington.
• Current driver''s license, vehicle insurance, access to dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services within the scope defined by state laws and the plan of care, coordinating with the health care team.
• Evaluate patient function and assist physician in therapy plan development.
• Treat patients to improve communication according to standards of practice.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to supervising nurse or physician.
• Instruct patient, family and caregivers in speech therapy areas and how they can participate.
• Function in home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

Job description

Assured Home Health, part of LHC Group, is a leading post‑acute care partner for hospitals, physicians and families nationwide.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by the state laws governing the practice of speech therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other members of the health care team
• Evaluates the patient's level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests. Assists the physician in the development of the therapy plan of care
• Treats patients to communicate effectively by expressing thoughts according to the patient's condition using acceptable standards of practice
• Observes, records, and reports to the supervising nurse and/or physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition
• Instructs the patient, the family and/or caregiver and other members of the health care team in areas of speech therapy in which they can participate
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

Required Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of Washington
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Benefits

Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The hourly pay for this role will range from $39.80 to $59.75 per hour based on full‑time employment. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401(k) contribution (subject to eligibility requirements).
