Job summary

Emerson Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver in-home evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention. The role includes family education and developing individualized care plans within a multidisciplinary team, across Parkinson's, Covid recovery, and post-stroke care.

The ideal candidate has a master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, an MA SLP license, and at least one year of acute or rehab experience. Per diem schedule with flexible daytime hours and a focus on patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• At least one year experience in acute or rehab settings preferred.
• MA SLP license; BLS within 30 days from hire.

About This Role

• Reporting to the Rehabilitation Team Lead, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for comprehensive patient management including evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention, and patient/family education for development and implementation of individualized care planning in the home setting. Opportunities include working directly in a multidisciplinary fashion, including specialty care groups such as Parkinson's Disease, Covid Recovery and Post-Acute Stroke care. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills in Speech-Language Pathology, with opportunity for clinical growth through education, in-services, and care management groups. This Home Care environment offers family-friendly, flexible hours.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education

Compensation includes hourly pay for training, education, orientation, meetings, and other non-clinical responsibilities. Clinical visits are paid at a base rate of $65 per visit, adjusted according to case weight.
