Job summary

Emerson Hospital Home Care seeks a Speech Language Pathologist on a per diem basis to join a multidisciplinary team and provide patient-centered care in the home setting. Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients, developing individualized care plans, educating patients and families, and collaborating with Parkinson's, Covid Recovery, and post-acute stroke teams.

Schedule is Day shift, 8:00am–4:30pm, with hourly pay between $38 and $47.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• At least one year of Acute or Rehab experience preferred.
• MA SLP license; BLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong clinical skills in Speech-Language Pathology and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in the home setting; develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including Parkinson's Disease, Covid Recovery, and Post-Acute Stroke care.
• Educate patients and families; maintain documentation and confidentiality.

Job Summary

• Reporting to the Rehabilitation Team Lead, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for comprehensive patient management including evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention, and patient/family education for development and implementation of individualized care planning in the home setting. Opportunities include working directly in a multidisciplinary fashion, including specialty care groups such as Parkinson's Disease, Covid Recovery and Post-Acute Stroke care. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills in Speech-Language Pathology, with opportunity for clinical growth through education, in-services, and care management groups. This Home Care environment offers family-friendly, flexible hours.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Experience
  • At least one year prior Acute or Rehab experience is preferred.
• Licensure and/or Certification
