Job summary

Always Best Care of Albuquerque/Rio Rancho is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our Home Health team, delivering high-quality patient care to seniors in the Albuquerque area. You will design and implement therapy plans, train patients and caregivers on exercises, and document evaluations and progress toward communication and swallowing goals in-home as directed by clinical leadership.

Job description

Always Best Care is looking to add a part-time speech therapist to our Home Health energetic team. A person who will provide quality patient care and contribute to the overall well-being of individuals in need of speech therapy services. We offer and will negotiate competitive pay. In doing this, you take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, you design the plan, and work with patients to execute those plans. As a Speech Language Pathologist you train patients and caregivers on the skills they need to promote independence and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate speech therapy evaluation, assessment, and treatment to our clients. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Manager.
• Guide patients in performing exercises and activities.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and home care techniques.
• Write professional evaluations and re-assessments that include a thorough plan of care with individualized goals and objectives for each patient.
