Job summary

Manhattan Children’s Center in Manhattan, NY seeks a full-time Speech Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing individual therapy to a caseload of eleven students, with documentation duties and coordination with families and educators to support student progress. The ideal candidate holds a NY State Speech Therapy license; ASHA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Speech Therapy License.
• ASHA Certification preferred and meeting Ethical Standards.
• TSSLD Certification preferred.
• Strong CF candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy sessions for a caseload of 11 students.
• Case management of assigned students, including required documentation (IEP notes, attendance, progress reports).
• Consult with parents, teachers, therapists and other health professionals to plan strategies for optimal functioning.
• Develop and conduct staff in-services to support professional development.
• Attend CSE/IEP meetings for students on caseload and participate in hearings if required.
• Supervise graduate level student clinicians after 3 years as Staff SLP.
