Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Pediatric Speech Therapist Evaluator for Preschool age children (CPSE) to evaluate and support young learners across preschools in the Northshore area (Glen Cove, Locust Valley, Oyster Bay and surrounding communities). This fee-for-service role offers compensation per evaluation and may be full-time or FFS depending on caseload.

Responsibilities include evaluations, collaboration with families and school teams, and participation in CPSE/IEP processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement creative individual or group therapeutic interventions for caseload.
  • Administer and write up speech and language evaluations.
  • Maintain communication with lead supervisors and coordinators related to case management.
  • Maintain professionalism with families, school teams, and other professionals.
  • Maintain attendance and billing logs.
  • Create and maintain schedule with assigned families/school personnel.
  • Collect data on IFSP/IEP goals and quarterly progress reports.
  • Provide input and attend CPSE/CSE meetings and/or annual reviews.
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations in clinic, home and/or preschool settings.
  • Write detailed speech and language evaluation reports.
  • Work with parents, teachers, and the evaluation team.
  • Develop functional goals using IEP directives.

Details about this opportunity:

Location:Preschools in the Northshore area (Glen Cove, Locust Valley, Oyster Bay and surrounding communities)

Status:Fee for Service

Compensation:$130/ evaluation (up to $185 for bilingual)

**Please note this is a range. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.**

Responsibilities:

  • Provide input and attend/teleconference initial CPSE/CSE meetings and/or annual reviews

Responsibilities for Evaluations:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations in clinic, home and/or preschool based settings
  • Write detailed speech and language evaluation reports demonstrating the child’s abilities and areas of difficulties
  • Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and the evaluation team
  • Develop appropriate functional goals using IEP direct

  • Current NYS Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • NYSED Certifications: TSSLD or TSHH
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families.
