Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Completion of Clinical Fellowship. After 3 full years/beginning of 4th year, may be eligible for Speech Language Pathologist Level II.
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Competency in performing Modified Barium Swallow Exams, Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), and Spanish proficiency.
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: For new graduates: Intern License from Texas prior to orientation. Others: Texas State License and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: See Preferred Certification Listing.
• REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS: Active healthcare provider BLS at hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
