Job summary

Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate patients, develop effective therapy plans, and measure progress.

This role requires a Master’s degree, state licensure, ASHA CCC-SLP, and strong communication skills. You will work across patient ages and settings, using videofluoroscopic and other assessments when available.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Current licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist and BLS certification.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (CCC-SLP).
  • Knowledge of speech pathology theories, procedures, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication, proactive attitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of safety precautions and remedial actions for patient care.
  • Proficient in assessing and implementing treatment programs.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Examine and evaluate patients to determine appropriate therapy plans.
  • Monitor and measure patient progress, adjusting treatment as necessary.
  • Educate patients on therapy techniques and progress.
  • Utilize clinical skills for assessments such as Video Swallow Studies, Speaking Valve, Voice Prosthesis, and FEES (preferred).

Job description

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates patients, develops effective treatment plans tailored to individual conditions, and measures patient progress. They modify treatment strategies as needed and educate patients to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications And Skills
  • Serves patients of all age groups.
  • Possesses a Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Has current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of speech pathology theories, procedures, and equipment.
