Job summary

Excel Care Center in Tampa, FL is seeking an innovative Speech Therapist (SLP/CCC) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. Per Diem positions offer flexible schedules to meet resident needs and provide excellent per diem rates.

The role involves screenings, evaluations, and implementing speech therapy plans of care, with documentation, consultation, and education responsibilities to promote quality resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have Florida Speech Therapy license or be eligible.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform screenings and evaluations of speech, swallowing and cognitive impairments and implement plans of care.
• Deliver skilled speech therapy services with medically necessary interventions to improve or maintain function.
• Complete comprehensive documentation for resident care including evaluations, progress notes, re-certifications, care plans and discharge summaries.
• Provide consultation and education to residents, families and caregivers to promote quality care.

Location: Excel Care Center, Tampa, FL

Excel Care Center is seeking an innovative and compassionate Speech Therapist,SLP/CCC to join our in-house rehabilitation team. The Speech Therapist creates, plans, develops, and implements speech therapy programs for a diverse population of residents.

Per Diem: Flexible schedules to accommodate resident population and to allow for a balanced work-life. EXCELLENT PER DIEM RATES

Job Duties

• Perform screenings and evaluations of residents with speech language, swallowing and cognitive functioning impairments and other conditions, developing and implementing appropriate Speech Therapy plans of care while adhering to federal and state regulations and clinical standards.
• Delivers skilled speech therapy services with the appropriate medically necessary interventions to improve, maintain or prevent decline with their impaired functions.
• Complete comprehensive documentation for resident care including evaluations, progress notes, re-certifications, care plans, standardized test, discharge summaries and billing.
• Provide consultation and education to residents, families, caregivers, and others to promote quality care and resident outcomes.

Job Qualifications
