Job summary

Shore Acres Care Center in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a FULL-TIME Speech Language Pathologist (SLP/CCC) to join the in-house rehabilitation team.

The role offers a flexible schedule, competitive hourly pay, and weekly pay with a $2,500 sign-on bonus. The SLP will screen, evaluate, and treat residents with cognitive and medical diagnoses, using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to improve communication and swallowing abilities.

Qualifications

• Florida licensed/eligible in Speech Language Pathology.

• Completion of SLP/CCC.

Responsibilities

• Screening and evaluation and plan of care development for residents with cognitive and medical diagnoses.
• Provide skilled Speech Therapy services to residents with swallowing or speech-language disorders to improve or maintain function.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans based on resident needs.
• Educate families and staff and document all clinical activities.

SPEECH THERAPIST JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Screening and evaluation and plan of care development of residents of various cognitive and medical diagnoses
• Knowledge and understanding of standardized assessments and evidence-based practice are utilized to support clinical interventions.
• Provide skilled Speech Therapy services to medically necessary residents with cognitive and functional disorders related to swallowing and/or speech language to improve, maintain, or prevent further deterioration.
• Continuous assessment of resident progress and treatment plans to make clinical adjustments and decisions based on individual resident needs.
• Monitor treatment plans for effectiveness to ensure residents’ functional outcomes.
• Provided education and consultation to residents, families, caregivers, and facility staff related to Speech Therapy.
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation through each resident case.
• Communicates efficiently and effectively with Director of Rehabilitation, rehabilitation team members and other IDT staff regarding resident status, treatment plan, progress, barriers to progress and discharge planning.

SPEECH THERAPIST QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRES:

• Florida licensed/eligible in Speech Language Pathology
• Knowledge of Net Health and Point Click Care
• Professionalism, excellent communication, and time management skills
• Completion of SLP/CCC
