Job summary

Shore Acres Care Center in St. Petersburg is seeking a full‑time Speech Therapist to join our team as a dynamic clinician and team player.

We also hire per diem SLP/CCC and offer an excellent hourly rate with a sign‑on bonus for direct hires. Our rehab department uses Net Health‑Therapy and Point Click Care for billing and documentation, with a six‑day‑a‑week in‑house program where the speech therapist is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Masters in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• A Florida Speech Therapy License in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must be computer/tech savvy.
• Experience with Swallowing Disorders and bedside swallow evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Conducts screenings of residents as scheduled to determine the need for evaluation and/or intervention.
• Evaluate residents per physician orders to obtain comprehensive data to be utilized in developing the plan of care for swallowing, communication and/or cognition.
• Provide Speech Therapy treatment to residents when indicated per the plan of care.
• Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehab department, IDT and facility success.

Our facility offers a supportive family environment with a compassionate rehab team which is led by an experienced Director of Rehabilitation. The rehab department utilizes Net Health-Therapy and Point Click Care for billing and documentation to assist therapists with daily efficiency where quality care remains the primary focus of each speech therapist. The facility has a 6-day a week, in-house comprehensive rehabilitation program where the speech therapistis an integral member of the interdisciplinary team. Our rehab positions are stable and secure at one location. Each rehab department offers a spacious gym.
