Job summary

Powerback is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to help patients communicate, swallow, and address related disorders. You will design and deliver rehabilitation plans, coordinate with the care team, and support patients and caregivers to promote independence.

This role emphasizes hands-on evaluation, collaboration across settings, and educating patients and families. A Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and state licensure are required, with opportunities for mentorship and professional

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehab services and design plans for speech, language, swallowing, and related communication disorders.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the care team to implement and adjust treatment plans.
• Provide education to patients and caregivers to promote independence and functional communication.
• Support ongoing documentation, reporting, and participation in team meetings across care settings.

Responsibilities

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you help patients get their power back. You are the person who can help people communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. In doing this, you take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, you design the plan, and work with patients to execute those plans.

You're a healer and a helper, which is why you got into this line of work.

You're equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual, and you know your goal is the design of a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their speech and communication abilities.
