Job summary

Powerback is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to help patients regain communication and swallowing abilities across multiple care settings in Boca Raton, FL. The role focuses on designing individualized treatment plans, delivering rehab services, and promoting patient independence while collaborating with the care team.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and is licensed or credentialed as required in the state.

Qualifications

• 1) A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• 2) Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Help patients communicate, swallow, and remediate disorders or deficits.
• Design the rehab plan and deliver effective services.
• Work with patients to execute the plan and monitor progress.
• Be a healer and helper focused on patient independence and daily functioning.
• Collaborate with peers and refer when needed to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and caregivers to promote continued progress at home and in daily life.

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you help patients get their power back. You are the person who can help people communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. In doing this, you take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, you design the plan, and work with patients to execute those plans.
