Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield is seeking a per diem Speech Therapist to assess, plan, and deliver therapy to residents. You will teach caregivers, supervise assistants, and participate in the clinical team process in a dynamic rehab setting.

The role offers up to $60 per hour with weekly pay and opportunities for ongoing learning in a supportive facility that values teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Speech Therapy is required.
• Current licensure by the applicable state agency.
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred.
• New graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Screens patients/residents.
• Evaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans.
• Provides direct resident treatments per plan of care.
• Contributes to team meetings and program decisions.
• Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers.
• Monitors clinical efficiency with supervisor.
• Documents activities in the clinical documentation system timely.

Speech Therapist - Per Diem

We are hiring a per diem Speech Therapist to join our dynamic care team at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield! As a Speech Therapist, you will provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload. Our per diem Speech Therapist will also participate in the clinical team process, provide teaching and training to caregiver staff, and supervise other assistants, aides, and students as required.

Up to $60 an hour with weekly pay. Berkshire is an award-winning, all-male skilled nursing facility.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Speech Therapy
• Current licensure by the applicable state agency
• Two (2) years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred
• CEU's per state licensure requirements
• New graduates welcome!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Screens patients/residents
• Evaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans
• Provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care
• Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program
• Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers
• Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor
• Documents activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis
• Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
• Communicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers, and supervisor

• Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary
