Job summary

Saint Clare's Health in New Jersey is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join its team on a per diem basis. The role focuses on evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation for patients with disorders of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing, under physician guidance.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, an active state license, and CCC-SLP (or SLP-CF with supervision). A current BLS certification is also required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology required.
• Active license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required.
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) considered on a case-by-case basis with supervision.
• At least one year of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master's degree in speech-language pathology required.
• 2. Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required.
• 3. Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), free of disciplinary action - OR - Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.
• 4. At least one year of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• 5. Current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency

Saint Clare's Health offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $61.00hr. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
