Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Amarillo is seeking a Speech Pathologist to evaluate, treat, and support patients with speech and communication needs in a hospital-based rehabilitation setting. The role emphasizes compassionate care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and advancing patient outcomes with personalized therapy plans.

The ideal candidate will hold current licensure or eligibility in Texas, CCC certification, and CPR certification or plan to obtain it within 30

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is preferred.
• CCC certification (ASHA) is required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Texas licensure or eligibility required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, develop, and administer personalized speech-language treatment plans for patients.
• Identify issues and modify therapy as needed.
• Track and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Celebrate patient milestones and progress throughout therapy.

Education
