Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Amarillo seeks a Speech Pathologist to provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy to patients in our community. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans and work with a multidisciplinary team to support patients’ communication goals during rehabilitation.

A current state license, CCC certification, CPR certification (or within 30 days of hire), and a Master’s degree preferred (or Bachelor’s with field experience) are required.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification (ASHA) required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
