Adventist Health Tillamook Coast is seeking a part-time Speech Pathologist to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.

You will adhere to licensure requirements and participate as a key member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Formación

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• CPR/BLS certification required by Adventist Health policy.
• ASHA CCC certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews and documents patient assessments.
• Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services for communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
• Instructs and directs support staff and supervises assistants.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Description

Located off the beautiful Oregon Coast, Adventist Health Tillamook has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1950. Job Summary:

Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required
• Two years' speech language pathology experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions:

• Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment.
• Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments.
• Assists in data collection of patient outcomes.
• Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts.
• Supervises assistants and support staff.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
