Job summary

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge in The Dalles, Oregon, seeks a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary care team. You will provide diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders, with emphasis on comprehensive assessments and outcome tracking.

Required: master's degree, state licensure, CPR/BLS; ASHA CCC preferred.

Qualifications

  • State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
  • ASHA CCC certification is preferred.
  • CPR/BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews patient information before evaluations and during treatment.
  • Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Assists in data collection of patient outcomes.
  • Instructs and directs support staff as per national/state Practice Acts.
  • Supervises assistants and support staff.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary
Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.
Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
  • Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required
  • Two years' speech language pathology experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
  • Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
  • American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred
Facility Specific License/Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
