Qualifications

Mansfield Multi-speciality Clinic and Urgent Care Center

Summary:

This Speech Pathologist will help provide coverage for the Mansfield Multi-specialty Clinic and Urgent Care Center. The staff speech pathologists will have the education, knowledge and skill to provide in-patient and/or out-patient services, focusing on functional skills to enhance development, restore function and to prevent disability from pediatric conditions, illness and injury. Evaluation, treatment and home programming are provided for children with feeding and swallowing disorders, articulation, voice, resonance, fluency, and receptive/expressive language disorders. Also includes aural rehabilitation/auditory verbal therapy for hearing loss or cochlear implant, and evaluation for augmentative communication devices. The position shall include patient and caregiver education and consultation to other professionals, clinics and agencies, both within Cook Children's Health Care System and within the community. Documentation and correspondence pertaining to these services shall follow department and system policies.

Hours: 10 Hours per week 12pm - 4/5pm M-F, No weekends or holidays.

Pay rate: $46.35/hour

Education: Master's degree in speech/language pathology

Pediatric experience: Preferred

Certification / Licensure:

BLS required.

State license: State license or eligible for state licensure.

Certificate of Clinical Competency: In Speech/Language Pathology, or eligible for application upon completion of Clinical Fellowship Year and must be obtained within 12 months of hire to maintain employment at Cook.
