Job summary

Tower Health seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for outpatient services at Reading Rehab Hospital in Wyomissing. The role involves evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and dysphagia, and coordinating care across the rehabilitation team.

You will develop therapy plans, document progress, and share results with patients and colleagues while engaging with hospital leadership and other professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• ASLHA Clinical Competence Cert in Speech Language Pathology.
• PA Speech Language Pathologist License and BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients referred for appraisal of speech, language, voice, fluency, and dysphagia and carry out therapy.
• Develop and implement treatment programs for referred patients.
• Communicate results to patients, families and other professionals.
• Participate in Rehabilitation Continuum activities and collaborate with the care team.
• Supervise assistants, aides, and students when applicable.

Job Summary

*This position is for our outpatient services at the Reading Rehab Hospital in Wyomissing.

The Speech Language Pathologist:

• Evaluates patients referred for appraisal of speech, language, voice, fluency, and dysphagia, carry out therapy, as appropriate, communicate results to patients, parents and other professionals, and participate in various Hospital or Community related activities.
• Evaluates, plans and implements treatment programs for referred patients according to accepted principles and practices of Speech Therapy.
• Supports all programs in the Rehabilitation Continuum.
• Maintains working relationships with Hospital leadership, physicians, nurses, case managers, social workers, allied health professionals, ancillary services, and hospital support personnel.
• Supervised by and reports to Therapy Manager or Senior Therapist. Supervises assistants, aides, and students.
