Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, ASLHA certification, and a PA Speech Language Pathologist License. Skills in computer navigation and excellent communication are essential. This position includes rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• No prior experience is necessary.
• Must have ASLHA Clinical Competence Cert in Speech Language Pathology.
• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients for speech, language, voice, fluency, and dysphagia.
• Carry out appropriate therapies and communicate results effectively.
• Participate in hospital and community-related activities.
• Implement treatment programs under accepted speech therapy practices.

Job Summary

PRN Day Shift Position - with every 4th weekend and holiday rotation required.

Speech language pathologists evaluate patients referred for appraisal of speech, language, voice, fluency, and dysphagia, carry out therapy, as appropriate, communicate results to patients, parents and other professionals, and participate in various Hospital or Community related activities. Evaluates, plans and implements treatment programs for referred patients according to accepted principles and practices of Speech Therapy. Supports all programs in the Rehabilitation Continuum. Maintains working relationships with Hospital leadership, physicians, nurses, case managers, social workers, allied health professionals, ancillary services, and hospital support personnel. Supervised by and reports to Therapy Manager or Senior Therapist. Supervises assistants, aides, and students.
