Job summary

Saint Luke's Home Health is seeking a PRN Speech Pathologist to join our North Branch team in Missouri. You will evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication and oral-pharyngeal impairments and plan habilitative and rehabilitation programs.

You will develop patient-centered treatment plans, reassess progress, and participate in discharge planning while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. A Bachelor's Degree is required, with BLS and ASHA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• BLS certification required.
• ASHA Certification in Speech-Language Pathology preferred or required.
• Experience of less than 1 year in Speech-Language Pathology acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients after impairment, injury, or disease.
• Create individualized treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Re-evaluate progress and contribute to discharge planning.
• May supervise students and assistants.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care team.
• Delegate tasks to supportive staff as needed.
• Documentation required per policy and payer requirements.
• Maintain safety for patients and staff at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by manager.
• Participate in quality initiatives and meet shift requirements.

Saint Luke's Home Health is seeking a PRN Speech Pathologist to join our North Branch Team!

Provides prevention, screening, evaluation, diagnosis, management and counseling services to clients with speech/ language, cognitive-communication and /or oral-pharyngeal sensorimotor impairments. Plans directs and conducts habilitative, rehabilitative and counseling programs to treat impairments involving verbal and written language.

Remote - MO, this is a PRN position. Working in Northland or others areas depending on need and working a minimum of 1 shift per week.

• Evaluates patients after impairment, injury, or disease.
• Creates an individualized patient-centered treatment plan based on evidenced based practice and selects appropriate interventions based upon evaluation and assessment of patient.
• Re-evaluates and provides periodic reassessment of patient progress and contributes to discharge planning.
• May supervise treatment provided by students and assistants.
• Participates and makes recommendations for client care interventions to the interdisciplinary health care team.
• Delegates and instructs supportive personnel in services to be provided.
• Provides timely documentation per department and/or entity policy and as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, reimbursement requirements, and physician treatment plan.
• Uses professional judgment to ensure safety to self, patients, and others at all times.
• Performs all other duties as requested by manager.
• Participates in quality initiatives
• Meets system and departmental shift requirements

• Cert Clinical Competence-Speech/Lang - American Speech Language Hearing Association
