Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to plan and implement treatment programs for patients. The role involves performing evaluations, designing and managing treatment plans, and collaborating with the care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

The position requires an advanced level of clinical and interpersonal skills, with supervision duties for Clinical Fellowship Year candidates and students as part of the department.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• SLP licensure required by state board.
• CCC certification acceptable if licensure not yet obtained (In lieu of licensure and CCC).

Responsibilities

• Performs initial speech therapy evaluations and designs a plan of care.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of diagnoses seen in speech therapy.
• Interprets ST examinations of speech, cognition-communication, oral motor, voice and swallowing.
• Reassesses patient status and modifies goals as indicated.
• Discharges planning and provides patient/family education.
