Job summary

IU Health Morgan outpatient clinic seeks a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment for adults and children. The role emphasizes evaluation and therapy with a 24-hour weekly schedule, Monday through Friday, no weekends.

Required are a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, Indiana state license, and ASHA CCC or eligibility, plus Basic Life Support. Willingness to supervise students and support staff is valued.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice in Indiana.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services including diagnostic evaluations to determine impairment level.
• Design and implement treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Deliver direct patient care and supervise support personnel and students.
• Participate in activities supporting patient care, education and department operations.
• Work in outpatient clinic with adults and pediatrics; evaluate and treat caseload accordingly.

After administering the appropriate tests and measures, a treatment plan is designed for improved communication and swallowing. Performs direct patient care services including the supervision of support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.

This is an outpatient speech-language pathologist position at IU Health Morgan outpatient clinic with a caseload focused on evaluation and treatment in both adults and pediatrics. This part-time position consists of 24 hrs/ 3 days a week Monday-Friday. No weekends. Ability to perform VFSS and CCC-SLP preferred.

• Requires a Master's Degree from an accredited academic program in speech pathology; or, if foreign trained, graduation from a speech pathology education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
• Requires current license in the State of Indiana.
• Requires a certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for this certificate.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
