Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking a part-time Speech Pathologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and management for individuals with communicative disorders. This role requires a Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology and State of Ohio Licensure. Responsibilities include case management and documentation of services. The position offers a schedule of 24 hours per week, with duties Monday through Friday and potential weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required; Doctorate is preferred.
• State of Ohio Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides appropriate written documentation of services provided.
• Assumes responsibility for ancillary/priority services within department.

• Provides appropriate written documentation of services provided.
• Assumes responsibility for ancillary/priority services within department and contributes to development of department by participating in special projects/programs.
• Other duties as required.

Technical Expertise

• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.

Education And Experience

• Education: Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required; Doctorate is preferred.
• Certification: State of Ohio Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required.
• Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
• Years of experience supervising: None.
